1. Committees
In the next few months, we will be seeking to add up to three positions for our Board of Directors. Please watch for details.
2. Events
From time to time, our organization hosts events to raise funds or promote awareness. If you are interested in volunteering to help us, please contact us at advancement@csacleth.ca or call 403-694-1094. We will require a volunteer application form, a short interview, screening (different depending on event), and orientation (different depending on event).
3. Group Activities
We are not currently seeking volunteers in this area.
Sometimes we require volunteers to assist with events or special projects such as office painting, stuffing envelopes, delivering posters, or toy and self care drives.
4. Specialized Services
We are not currently seeking volunteers in this area.
Sometimes we require Peer Support Group Co-Facilitators to work alongside staff in the delivery of Peer Support Groups to people who have experienced sexualized violence. In order to volunteer for this position, we will require: A Volunteer Application Form, an interview, references, an orientation, a Current Criminal History Check Inclusive of the Vulnerable Sector and a Current Child Protection Background Check.
5. Practicum Placements
Calls from institutions or students need to occur minimally one month prior to expected placement. The CSAC may determine that placements cannot be accommodated. Preferences are for those students in their last year of study in their chosen field. If you're interested in applying for a practicum position, please provide resume complete with cover letter, outlining your employment history, education and certifications, as well as three references who can speak to your previous work. Upon hiring, we will require a Current Criminal History Check Inclusive of the Vulnerable Sector and a Current Child Protection Background Check

Finance Administrative Coordinator
(Reports to the Chief Executive Officer)
The Finance and Administration Coordinator oversees day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with charitable standards. Balancing hands-on bookkeeping with strategic reporting, this role is essential to the financial health and operational success of the charity.
Part time role: 25 hours per week with benefits.
Rate of Pay: Dependent on qualifications and experience range from 25-29 per hour plus benefits, dependent on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Benefits Administration
Process mid-month and end of month payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal tax legislation.
Manage employee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations.
Track and reconcile payroll-related deductions, remittances, and vacation accruals.
Act as the primary point of contact for staff inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and expense reimbursements.
Accounts Payable (Payables)
Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, including coding, verifying, and processing invoices.
Prepare payments (cheques, electronic funds transfers) and ensure timely disbursements.
Maintain vendor files and reconcile vendor statements.
Process and track employee expense claims and corporate credit cards.
Budget Preparation
Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with the CEO and program leads.
Monitor monthly and quarterly budget-to-actual reports, highlighting variances and providing forecasting insights.
Provide necessary data to support restricted fund and grant allocations.
Reporting to Funders
Compile and prepare accurate, detailed financial reports for grantors, foundations, and government funding agencies.
Ensure all expenditures comply with specific funder restrictions and grant guidelines.
Assist in the preparation of GST reports and the annual financial audit.
Administration
Supports Administration/Client Care Specialist role by covering reception in times of vacation/illness.
Ensures up to date inventory of assets and products.
Maintains supplies, addresses procurement needs and orders supplies when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field (
Experience: 3+ years of progressive finance and payroll experience, preferably within the non-profit or charitable sector.
Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks) and advanced Excel skills.
Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with CRA regulations for charities, payroll source deductions, and employee benefits administration.
Communication: Ability to translate complex financial data into non-financial terms for board and leadership team
